Why a “static” QR code never expires
Many “free” QR code websites actually create a dynamic QR code: the code first points to their server, which then redirects to your link. After a 7 to 14-day trial, they cut the redirect and ask for a subscription. The code already printed on your menus, flyers or business cards stops working.
Here, the QR code is static: your link (or your Wi-Fi, your business card…) is written directly into the pattern of the code. It goes through no server, neither ours nor anyone else’s. It will work as long as your link exists, even if this website disappears tomorrow.
Printing your QR code properly
Keep a light background and dark squares, a size of at least 2 × 2 cm (3 cm on a poster read from a distance) and the white margin around the code. Always test the code with your phone before printing in bulk.
The code is created in your browser
Nothing is sent over the internet: not your link, not your Wi-Fi password, not your contact details. Download the code as PNG (for Word, Canva, social media) or SVG (for the printer, sharp at any size).
Frequently asked questions
What is a vCard?
It’s the standard format for contact cards. The QR code contains your card: the phone offers to save it to contacts.
What size should a QR code be on a business card?
At least 2 × 2 cm. The more information you add, the denser the code: keep the essentials (name, phone, email, website).
Is this QR code really free with no time limit?
Yes. It’s a static QR code: the content is written in the code itself and doesn’t depend on any subscription or server. It can’t be switched off.
